MTN Nigeria bagged AAA rating from Global Credit Ratings
#MTNN is getting stronger by the day. Global Credit Ratings has just issued its highest credit rating of AAA to MTN Nigeria. The implication of this rating is that is MTN is highly credit worthy and debt capital issued by the company is secured and free from default risk. Companies with AAA credit rating have access to cheaper debt capital because of near zero default risk.
Also in a related development, #MTNN announced that it's going to make available 14% of its shareholdings to retail investors in Nigeria. I see this as an opportunity for discerning retail investors to grab. The company has good credit rating, largest market share in the telecommunications industry and quarter on quarter bottom-line has been impressive.

Congratulations to MTN Nigeria for receiving the highest credit ratings by the Global Credit Ratings (GCR) while the outlook is rated as stable.
According to GCR, “the ratings accorded to MTN Nigeria reflect its very strong competitive position as the leading provider of telecommunications services in Nigeria, as well as its strong earnings and cash flow which has supported a robust financial profile”
